edX course dubbing and translated subtitles
Does dubly.me work on edX? Yes. Open a course video, press Dub, and dubly.me reads the video's subtitles aloud in your language while it plays. If a video has no subtitle track, dubly.me uses the edX transcript.

How it works
Three steps on edX
- 1
Open a course video
Go to a video in your edX course. dubly.me also works when the video sits in a frame inside the course page.
- 2
Choose your language and mode
In the dubly.me popup, pick the language you want to hear and Dubbed voice, Subtitles or Both.
- 3
Press Dub
dubly.me translates the subtitles or transcript and reads each line in your language as the video plays.

Questions
edX questions
What does dubly.me translate on edX?
The video's subtitle tracks. When a video has none, dubly.me uses the transcript edX provides for it. English is preferred when it is available.
Can I get only translated subtitles, without a voice?
Yes. Choose Subtitles in the popup. dubly.me shows the translated line on the video and does not speak. It uses the same daily minutes as dubbing.
Is dubly.me free on edX?
No. On edX, dubly.me works with the Basic plan (€5 a month, up to 9 hours of dubbing a day). The free plan covers YouTube.
Does it work on every edX address?
It works on learning.edx.org, courses.edx.org and www.edx.org, and on edX videos shown in a frame on those pages.
